Cagliostro: The Film Poet

In 1927, The League for Better Motion Pictures of New York, awarded the Chilean poet Vicente Huidobro the sum of US$ 10,000 to adapt his novel-film “Cagliostro”, to a silent film. However, the project was overshadowed by the premiere of “The Jazz Singer”, the first talkie. The present documentary in development reconstructs the steps of Huidobro’s creative impulse as a filmmaker and relives the script of a film never made.
